Welcome to Mexico!

I managed to make it to Mexico without any problems. My bags arrived...in one piece! It has been really great to see Lalo and his family again! I had quickly forgotten how much I love the food here...Lalo's grandmother is an awesome cook! In true Veach fasion I am going to dive into a story that may be "Oversharing". On Thursday after dinner I quickly realized that I was going to need to "use the bathroom". When there is no running water in the toilets the thought of having to "use the bathroom" was quite frightening. I had to swallow my pride and tell Lalo that I needed to "use the bathroom" and politely asked him if he could show me how to do so. He thought this was quite funny telling me that I should just wear a diaper! I was mortified! But now we have gotten that out of the way...i'm sure it won't be the last time where shitting will be a problem! I will say that toilet paper is often missing from many bathrooms here. I am trying to remind myself to discreetly slip a napking in my pocket before I go...i'm gonna have to get used to that! I am having to remind myself constantly to get accustomed to things rather than try to change them. This is not my country and I should do my best to mold myself around their customs!
My brain has been a bit confused switching between English and Spanish. When I talked to my mom and dad my brain wanted to say things half in Spanish and half in English...it's really weird!
